Each partner gets their own attorney
A prenup needs each person to have independent counsel. Neptune connects you with two attorneys, one for each of you, so both partners are advised and neither is signing without their own lawyer.

Your attorneys draft and review
One attorney drafts the agreement from what you decided together, and the other reviews it for the other partner. They handle the back-and-forth, and you both understand the document before you sign.

Sign a finished agreement
Once both partners and both attorneys are satisfied, you sign and notarize. Most couples finish in about three to four weeks when both partners use Neptune attorneys, so you are done well before the wedding.

How long does it take, and what if our wedding is soon?
Most couples finish in about three to four weeks when both partners use Neptune attorneys. If your wedding is close, start as early as you can so both attorneys have time to draft, review, and sign without rushing.
Why do we each need our own attorney?
A prenup is an agreement between two people with different interests, so each partner needs independent advice. Neptune gives both of you your own attorney. That structure is built in, rather than one lawyer trying to advise both sides.
Do we pay separately, or is it one payment?
It is one flat fee of $5,000 that covers both attorneys. Either partner can pay, and the single payment handles the drafting attorney and the reviewing attorney together.
